Born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, Mark spent his childhood at Wisconsin Badger Football and Hockey games. He graduated from Madison Memorial High School and went from there to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. At UW-Whitewater he broadcast sports for WSUW and Cable19, the campus radio and television stations. He also hosted a daily sports talk radio show.

In his free time Mark enjoys baseball, college sports and can be found flying down mountains on planks of wood. He has skied almost as long as he could walk, having skied mountains in Colorado, Utah, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

At the NewsCenter, Mark is a Video Journalist and serves as the Play-By-Play announcer for the UW-Superior Hockey Broadcasts.
