After receiving his meteorological education at Penn State University, George worked at WYOU-TV in Scranton, Penn., then became chief meteorologist at WHSV-TV in Harrisonburg, Virginia, before joining the NewsCenter team.

George says forecasting the Northland's weather is challenging -- and that's why he likes it, particularly in the winter.

"For as long as I can remember, I've been looking out windows hoping for snow, or watching a good old-fashioned thunderstorm. I love this stuff!"
