Speak Up Speak Out Homepage

One in three children say they’ve been bullied at some point during the school year. Of those children, half won’t admit that they’ve been a victim.

KBJR 6 and Range 11 and KDLH 3 are proud to be working to change those statistics with our new “Speak Up. Speak Out” segment. We’re proud to be encouraging the community to speak up and speak out against bullying in all of its forms.

Throughout the year, Kevin Jacobsen will be exploring the societal problem of bullying, the measures being taken by schools to prevent it and raise awareness, efforts by communities and lawmakers to curb the problem, and what you can do personally to take a stand against bullying.

These efforts are nothing without the support of the local communities. We invite you to take part in our ongoing conversation via Facebook and Twitter using #SpeakUpSpeakOut to ask questions, provide suggestions and sharing ideas for future segments.
