Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- After being cancelled last year because of the flooding, the Lake Superior Open had a record number of teams for the 13th Annual Tournament at the Arlington and Jean Duluth soccer complexes.

The weekend youth soccer tournament, put on by East Select Soccer (ESS), had 120 teams participating.

Tournament co-director Rachel Johnson said the tournament allows teams from the Twin Cities a chance to make a trip out of it.

"It's great to get families and teams up here to experience Duluth and just promote a healthy lifestyle," Johnson said. "Soccer is one way to do that, bringing all the families up here to enjoy the weekend."

Tournament play wraps up on Sunday.
