Milwaukee, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Milwaukee Brewers have signed right-handed pitcher Kyle Lohse to a three-year contract, the team
announced on Wednesday afternoon.

The 34-year-old Lohse was (16-3) with a 2.86 earned-run average in the 2012 season with St. Louis, finishing seventh following the year in the National League's Cy Young Award balloting.

Milwaukee will forfeit a 2013 first-round draft pick --- the 17th overall selection --- for signing Lohse, and St. Louis will receive a compensatory pick later in the round --- the 28th overall selection.
