Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Passersby may have noticed a huge hole in the scoreboard at Malosky Stadium on the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) campus, with that acting just as preparation for a $250,000 addition to the complex.
The school is inserting a 22x12-foot LED video board on the current scoreboard, a project made possible by a generous anonymous donation dedicated by the donor to "UMD Walk-On Student-Athletes."
"It is an amazing development for Malosky and really speaks to one of my priorities, which is fan experience," UMD athletics director Josh Berlo said. "In today's world, our dollars and our free time are very precious. We want to put our best foot forward and give fans an amazing experience when they come to support the Bulldogs."
The video board is expected to arrive sometime next week and be in place in time for the first UMD home football game on Sept. 7.
