Los Angeles, CA (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been nominated for three 2013 ESPY Awards, with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Minnesota Lynx guard Lindsay Whalen each nominated for one.
Peterson is up for male athlete of the year, NFL player of the year, and comeback player of the year, all that after he finished the 2012 season with 2,097 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.
Rodgers, meanwhile, joins Peterson as a nominee for NFL player of the year after he finished 2012 with 4,295 passing yards and 39 passing touchdowns.
Whalen is a nominee for WNBA player of the year after she averaged 11.5 points and 5.4 assists per game in 2012, helping the Minnesota Lynx to the league championship series.
Fans can vote for these three athletes and several other ESPY nominees at the official 2013 ESPYs website, with voting set to end on July 17.
