Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team had yet to earn a series sweep this 2012-13 season entering this weekend, and that didn't change after a 2-1 loss to Bemidji State at AMSOIL Arena on Saturday night.
UMD was looking for its first four-point weekend of the year, but Bemidji State used two goals in the second period to earn a weekend split on the road.
Caleb Herbert scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs, that coming with less than a minute left in the third period. Aaron Crandall is charged with the loss in goal, making 17 saves for UMD.
The Bulldogs fall to (5-8-3) overall and (3-6-3) in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) this season with the loss.
