Backstrom Solid, Wild Fall at Home to 'Hawks

St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom put together a strong effort on Tuesday night, but he and his team fell 1-0 to the Chicago Blackhawks at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.

Backstrom made 31 saves in the losing effort, with the winning goal coming from Marian Hossa in the second period following a turnover by Clayton Stoner in his own defensive zone.

Minnesota has now won just one of its last five games and falls to (22-15-2). The Wild will next be in action at 7:00 p.m. on April 11 at home against St. Louis.
