St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) forward Justin Fontaine assisted on the game-winning goal Tuesday night as the Minnesota Wild got a 4-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.

Fontaine sent a beautiful saucer pass to Erik Haula for a goal just 1:41 into the third period, with that putting Minnesota up 1-0 and turning out to be the deciding tally in the game.

Mikael Granlund then added an equally as impressive backhanded goal for Minnesota, his first goal of the game before adding an empty netter to seal the win for the Wild.

Zach Parise had the other goal for Minnesota, with Ilya Bryzgalov making 19 saves in the game to earn his fourth career postseason shutout.

Chicago now leads the best-of-seven series 2-1, with Game 4 scheduled for 8:30 p.m. CT on Friday night at the Xcel Energy Center.
