Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Freshman goaltender Kayla Black earned her second shutout in as many games on Sunday afternoon as the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team beat #4-ranked Wisconsin 1-0 at AMSOIL Arena.

Black made 25 saves for her second collegiate shutout and win for the Bulldogs, making a first period goal from senior captain Jessica Wong stand up as the game winner.

The sweep of the Badgers are UMD's first two wins of the 2012-13 season, coming just a week after the team opened up by being swept at home by Ohio State. The Bulldogs are now (2-2-0) overall and (2-2-0) in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA).

UMD is next in action October 19-20 on the road to Minnesota State-Mankato, with those games set for 7:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. respectively.
