Milwaukee, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Milwaukee used a ninth inning rally to push the game to extra innings but a two-run homer by Eric Hinske in the 11th inning was enough to send Arizona past the Brewers and finish a sweep of the weekend series.
The Brewers found themselves down three in the seventh, but that's where their comeback started. Carlos Gomez grounded into a fielder's choice that scored Yuniesky Betancourt. And then down by two in the ninth, Milwaukee used singles from Norichika Aoki and Jonathan Lucroy to tie the game.
But in the 11th, it was the Diamondbacks who pulled ahead when Eric Hinske homered to center field, scoring Cliff Pennington. The Brewers added one in the bottom of the inning but fell just short.
Sunday's loss is the fourth straight for the Brewers. They return to action when they travel to Chicago to play the Cubs on Monday, April 8 at 1:20 p.m.
