Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Few things are certain in the wide world of sports, but it's close to a mortal lock that Lakeview Christian Academy (LCA) senior Anders Broman will take over control of the all-time Minnesota scoring record this Thursday night.

LCA plays Mesabi East at 6:00 p.m. in the Hibbing Holiday Tournament, and Broman needs just seven points in that game to become the new all-time leading scorer in Minnesota high school history.

"I try not to think about it at all. I just try to go out there and play," Broman said of the record. "I want to become the best player I can. I'm trying to prepare for college right now and just be an all-around good player. People think I'm only a scorer, so I try to show them I can do more than just score."

The Lions' guard enters with 4,080 career points, just six back of the 4,086 scored by current record-holder Kevin Noreen.

He and his LCA team are (3-3) so far this season and ranked #6 in Minnesota's Class A according to the latest issue of Minnesota Basketball News.
