Milwaukee, WI ( --- The Milwaukee Bucks and head coach Scott Skiles have mutually agreed to part ways, it was announced by team general manager John Hammond on Tuesday. Assistant coach Jim Boylan will assume the head coaching job for the rest of this season, taking over a team that has a current record of (16-16). Skiles had spent four-plus seasons as Milwaukee's head coach, compiling a record of (162-182) in that time. He led the team to the NBA postseason just once, though, when the Bucks lost to Atlanta in the first round following the 2009-10 season. The 57-year-old Boylan has been the lead assistant under Skiles the past four-plus seasons, with his only prior head coaching experience coming in an interim role with Chicago in the 2007-08 season.
