Bulldogs Drop in AFCA Poll, Jump to #6 in Region

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- After a 53-14 win this past weekend, the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) football team has fallen one spot in the American Football Coaches' Association (AFCA) poll and jumped a spot in the NCAA Super Region Three rankings.

The regional rankings are far more important to UMD, with the top six teams after next week's regular season finale earning a spot in the NCAA Division II tournament.

The AFCA rankings, meanwhile, are far more superfluous and slot the (9-1) Bulldogs as the 10th team in the nation. This marks the third straight week UMD has won its game and fallen the AFCA poll.
