Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's basketball team opened up its invitational camp on Saturday at the Romano Gymnasium. The camp includes many up and coming players from around the Northland and runs through Sunday. The three-day event combines basketball training along with weight training and nutritional information. Head Coach Annette Wiles says it's not only a chance for her staff to look at upcoming talent, but it also allows her currents players to serve as coaches and give something back. "It provides them an opportunity to be able to give back to the game so that the information they're actually teaching the younger campers is also being a part of what they're learning to do and in hopes helping their game and their individual skill improvement." The Bulldogs will also host an All Girls Camp starting on Sunday, July 17th. The camp ranges from Grade 3 until 12, and registration is open until July 14th. Posted by Sarah Wheeler swheeler@kbjr.com
