Bulldogs Ranked 7th in Latest AFCA Poll

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) football team moved up four spots to seventh in this week's American Football Coaches' Association (AFCA) Division II poll, which was released on Monday.

UMD is (1-0) this season after winning its season opener 32-7 against Sioux Falls on Saturday night at Malosky Stadium.

The Bulldogs are one of two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) teams to be ranked in this week's poll, with MSU-Mankato ranked second and receiving a pair of first-place votes.

UMD is next in action on Sept. 14 on the road against Upper Iowa, with the team's next home game coming Sept. 21 against MSU-Mankato.
