Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica women's tennis team has been picked as the preseason favorite to win a 17th consecutive title by the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) coaches, it was announced on Tuesday. The Saints received all five possible first-place votes in the preseason poll, pitting them as the team to beat in the upcoming conference season. St. Scholastica returns its top three players from the 2012 season, including Hibbing, Minn. native and 2012 UMAC player of the year Hillary Bungarden. Virginia, Minn. native Alexis Gunderson and Rachael Zwiener constitute the other two parts of that team-leading trio, with those three accounting for 93 victories in the 2012 season.
