Chisholm Native Shuster Makes Olympics

Fuessen, Germany (NNCNOW.com) --- Chisholm, Minn. native John Shuster and the United States men's curling team is headed to the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games, that after beating the Czech Republic 8-5 at an Olympic Qualification Event playoff on Sunday.

Shuster and his United States teammates won their final five matches at the qualification tournament, including playoff victories over Korea and the Czech Republic this weekend.

The Americans scored five points in the eighth end on Sunday against the Czechs, avenging a loss to that rink earlier in the qualification round robin.

Shuster is joined on the Olympic team by Gilbert, Minn. native Jeff Isaacson, Hibbing, Minn. native Jared Zezel, and Duluth, Minn. native John Landsteiner.
