(NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth, Minn. native Chris Connolly and former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) forward Tim Stapleton have each been named to the United States roster for the upcoming Deutschland Cup, which is scheduled for Nov. 8-10 in Munich, Germany.

Connolly, who played his high school hockey with Duluth Marshall, is now playing his second professional season with Tappara in Finland.

Stapleton, meanwhile, played four seasons with UMD before going on to play parts of four seasons in the NHL. He is now a member of AK Bars Kazan in Russia.

The Deutschland Cup is hosted by the German Ice Hockey Federation and, besides the United States, will feature teams from Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Denmark.
