Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Virginia, Minn. native and Minnesota Wild forward Matt Cullen will miss the team's next couple of games with a lower-body injury, that according to a report Tuesday by the Minneapolis Star Tribune's Michael Russo.

Cullen appeared to be hurt near the end of the Wild's 4-1 loss against St. Louis on Monday night, but head coach Mike Yeo said he hopes it's not a serious injury and won't have long-term effects.

In the meantime, the team has called up Johann Larsson from the American Hockey League ahead of a game April 3 on the road against San Jose.

Larsson had 15 goals and 22 assists in 62 games this season in the AHL with Houston, having made his NHL debut with Minnesota this February against Detroit.
