Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth women's hockey team rolled over Connecticut 13-1 on Saturday night to sweep the series and earn head coach Shannon Miller her 350th career win with the Bulldogs.
UMD used three first period goals en route to scoring 13 goals in two games against the Huskies. Senior captain Jamie Kenyon scored two power-play goals while Ashleigh Brykaliuk scored the first of her career.
In the second period, sophomore winger Alivia Del Basso notched the first goal of her career with Katherine McGovern and Bailey Wright each scoring goals in the final period.
The Bulldogs outshot UConn 59-16. UMD netminder Karissa Grapp started her third career game and made 15 saves.
UMD hits the road next weekend to take on the University of North Dakota on Friday and Saturday with both games scheduled to start at 2:07 p.m.
