Cambridge, MA (NNCNOW.com) --- Former Duluth Denfeld standout Laura Bellamy has been named the women's hockey assistant coach at Harvard for the 2013-14 season after graduating from the school this spring.

Bellamy finished her career with the Crimson as one of the program's top goaltenders, compiling a record of 60-25-7. She led Harvard to two NCAA tournament appearances and the 2013 Ivy League Title.

The Duluth native ranks as the Crimson's single-season leader in goals-against-average with a 0.92 mark in 2012-13. She was also an ECAC Hockey Student-Athlete of the Year nominee in 2012.

Bellamy will team up with head coach Maura Crowell who takes over for Katey Stone while she coaches the USA Hockey Women's National Team at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
