Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth, Minn. native and St. Scholastica junior forward Kelsey Kehtel is now the all-time leading goals scorer in that program's history, that after she turned in a two-goal performance on Friday afternoon in the Saints' 6-0 win over Martin Luther. Kehtel scored the record-breaking goal about 10 minutes into the contest, firing a left-footed shot from 30 yards out that beat the goalkeeper to the upper part of the goal. That broke the old record of 65 career goals, which was set by Duluth, Minn. native Robin Johnson in a career that ran from 2005-08. Kehtel then added a second goal in the second half, which broke the single-season goals record of 26 that was set in 1995 by Jill Tribble. The former Duluth East standout now has 27 goals this 2013 season and 67 in her career, with the Saints still having one regular season game and then postseason competition left this year.
