Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth, Minn. native and former Duluth East defenseman Nate Repensky has committed to play Division I college hockey at Yale, he announced via Twitter on Friday morning.
"Excited to announce I've committed to play my college hockey for Yale next season," Repensky wrote on his Twitter account. "Thanks to everyone for all the help and support."
Repensky graduated in 2012 from Duluth East, that after helping the Greyhounds to the state tournament every season he played on the varsity and being named to the 2012 Class AA all-tournament team.
Since high school, Repensky has been playing with the Bismarck Bobcats in the North American Hockey League. He totaled six goals and 21 assists while playing 37 games his first year, and has two goals and 17 assists through just 14 games in his second season.
Repensky did not specify when he would join the Yale Bulldogs for his freshman year, but the team will lose only one defenseman following the 2013-14 season due to graduation.
