Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Duluth Rowing Club held its 110th annual International Regatta on Saturday on Park Point with eight different clubs on hand and over 200 junior rowers.

The 2,000 meter course stretched along the Superior Harbor from Hearding Island to the club boathouse with 27 races in all.

The event allows for rowers of all ages and abilities to take part with a low-impact sport.

"People are enjoying the athletic competition at various levels," said regatta coordinator Karen Schuder. "We have beginner rowers, we have very experienced rowers, and everything in between.

"For a lot of the kids, this is their first regatta so it's an exciting time for them.
