Error in 10th Gives Huskies a Walkoff Win

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A throwing error in the bottom of the 10th inning on Tuesday afternoon allowed Garrett LaRosa to score from third base, giving the Duluth Huskies a 9-8 walkoff win over the St. Cloud Rox at Wade Stadium.

Keith Curcio was Duluth's offensive leader in the winning effort, hitting 3-for-4 with a run batted in. University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) freshman Alex Wojciechowski also played well, hitting 1-for-4 with two runs batted in and a run scored.

Cloquet, Minn. native and St. Scholastica junior Thomas Rogers pitched part of the eighth inning, allowing five runs on three hits while recording just one out.

Duluth is now (5-2) this 2013 season with the win and will next be in action at 6:35 p.m. on June 5 on the road against Waterloo.
