Esko Advances to First-Ever State Championship

Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Esko boys' basketball team fell behind early but came roaring back to beat Fairmont 56-43 in the MSHSL Class AA semifinals on Friday night to advance to their first ever state championship.

Kory Deadrick led the Eskomos with 21 points and 14 rebounds while Casey Staniger finished with 18 points in the win. Josh Eversman led the Cardinals 15 points.

Esko will face Annandale in the Class AA title game on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Target Center.
