Kalamazoo, MI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Esko intermediate 50/70 Little League baseball team has fallen one win shy of reaching the World Series, falling twice on Friday to a team from Jenison, Mich. in the regional championship.

The team from Michigan won 5-4 and 9-1 in the championship round of the Central regional tournament, securing the needed two wins to bounce Esko in the double-elimination format.

The losses mean Esko will not advance to the Intermediate 50/70 Little League World Series in Livermore, Calif., which will be played from July 30 to Aug. 5.
