Seattle, WA (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) offensive lineman Jake Bscherer was released by the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday night to make room for linebacker O'Brien Schofield who was claimed off of waivers.
Bscherer was signed in May by the Seahawks after taking part in their rookie camp but let go after day two of training camp.
Bscherer spent just one season with the Bulldogs, that being his senior year in 2012. He played left tackle and was selected to the all-Nothern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) first team after helping UMD become the third-highest scoring offense in all of NCAA Division II football.
