Farjestad, Sweden (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) captain Jack Connolly returned Thursday for Farjestad BK in the Elitesiren, seeing his first game action in more than 10 weeks due to a groin injury. Frajestad BK earned a 7-4 win over league-leading HV71 on Thursday, with Connolly stepping up from an expected limited role to skate with the first line for a portion of the game. "was a great comeback by Connolly," Farjestad BK head coach Leif Carlsson said to the team's web site. "Sure, it was noticeable that he was not playing matched in a while, and he got a little tired at the end. But he does it really well, he's able to find good solutions and adaptations. It was a great first game." Connolly missed 21 games with the injury, that after playing a school-record 166 consecutive games in college while with the Bulldogs. He's played 17 games this season for Farjestad BK, totaling four goals and five assists across that span. Posted by Zach Schneider Bio - Facebook - Twitter - E-Mail
