Ex-Bulldog Connolly Signs Deal in Germany

Augsburg, Germany (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) forward Mike Connolly has signed a contract with Augsburg of the Germany Hockey League (DEL), the team officially announced on Friday.

Connolly had played parts the past two seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL), totaling 22 goals and 38 assists in his 118 games played.

The former Bulldog made his NHL debut on March 4, 2012 with the Colorado Avalance, with his team beating the Minnesota Wild 2-0 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.

Connolly skated in 123 games while at UMD, finishing his collegiate with 55 goals and 81 assists while also helping the Bulldogs to the 2011 NCAA Division I championship.
