St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) forward Justin Fontaine has been called up by the Minnesota Wild, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon. Fontaine has yet to play in an NHL game, but he totaled 23 goals and 33 assists this regular season for the Houston Aeros in the American Hockey League (AHL). The move is part of Minnesota's preparation for the continuation of its first-round playoff series with Chicago, although Fontaine is not expected to be in the lineup for tonight's game four. The 25-year-old spent four seasons with UMD, totaling 62 goals and 102 assists in 159 games with the Bulldogs and helping the team to the 2011 NCAA Division I championship.
