Bismarck, ND (NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth, Minn. native and current Bismarck Bobcats defenseman Nate Repensky has been named the North American Hockey League (NAHL) defenseman of the month, it was announced on Thursday afternoon.

Repensky earns the honor for the month of March, that after the former Greyhound totaled four goals and 16 assists and helped the Bobcats to an overall record of (7-1-3).

After missing significant time at the beginning of the season with an injury, Repensky said he's once again feeling comfortable on the blue line.

“I think it took a couple of months to really get back to where I felt comfortable and back up to 100% with the speed and strength," Repensky said. "Once I did, I had a lot more confidence in distributing the puck and jumping into plays. Short term, I think we have a really good club that can contend in the playoffs if we are playing our best. Long term, I am hopeful I keep playing well and developing here in Bismarck and get an NCAA Division I opportunity.”
