Ex-Huskies OF Ramsay Taken in MLB Draft

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former Duluth Huskies outfielder James Ramsay has been selected by the Houston Astros with 197th pick of this year's Major League Baseball (MLB) first-year player draft.

Ramsay led the Northwoods League with a .381 batting average during his summer in Duluth, Minn., also leading the league with 94 hits and ranking 15th with 41 runs batted in.

The Brandon, Fla. native just finished his junior season with the University of South Florida, a year in which he led the team with a .337 batting average, a .449 slugging percentage, 82 hits, and 109 total bases.
