Mankato, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- WIth day two of training camp in the books for the Minnesota Vikings, newly acquired Desmond Bishop is expected to play outside linebacker with Erin Henderson continuing his transition to the middle linebacker spot.
The Vikings signed Bishop in late June, and head coach Leslie Frazier thinks he can learn the defense more quickly from the outside.
Bishop played in a 3-4 scheme in Green Bay but says the 4-3 system and weak-side linebacker role are not that different than what he's used to.
"People put a lot of emphasis on outside linebacker and middle linebacker," Bishop said. "It's all the same pretty much to me. It's really playing football. From where I used to line up to where I line up now, it's probably a half of a man."
