Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica softball team played on its true home field for the first time in nearly two years on Tuesday afternoon, first beating North Central 22-1 and then blanking Northwestern 8-0 in an afternoon doubleheader.

The Saints hadn't played at Kenwood Field since May 5, 2012 when the team won the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) postseason championship, a span that saw the team play 68 games anywhere but its true home.

St. Scholastica is now (17-10) overall this season and (12-0) in conference play, with the two wins Tuesday stretching the team's home winning streak to 22 games.
