Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The 24th annual Fitger's 5K run and walk will continue as scheduled on Saturday morning despite the recent round of snowfall in Duluth, Minn., race officials announced on Friday morning. This year's field features a race-record 1,926 registered runners, including defending men's champion Mike Reneau and defending women's champion Katie McGee. The race will start at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday in front of the Fitger's complex in Duluth, with the awards ceremony to follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Rex Bar on the lower level of the complex. One of the year's largest fundraising efforts for the Young Athletes Foundation (YAF), this year's event is expected to bring in more than $20,000.
