Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) softball standout Patty Becker is among eight athletes who will be inducted into the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Hall of Fame, the league announced on Thursday.

The Hampton, Minn. native is the 18th representative from UMD to be honored.

Becker was the first Bulldog to become a softball All-American as well as being named to the All-Northern Intercollegiate Sun Conference team on four occasions.

She finished her Bulldog career with a .405 batting average, 138 runs, 194 hits, and 51 sacrifices while playing in 157 games as the team's leadoff batter.

Becker was also named the Bulldogs' Most Valuable Player for three straight seasons and helped UMD qualify for two NAIA National Tournament appearances.
