Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Two former Duluth Denfeld stars highlight the 2013 recruiting class for the St. Scholastica softball team, a group of players head coach Jen Walter believes to be perhaps the deepest pool of talent ever for the program.
Nikki Logergren and Kara Warren are the former Hunters included in the recruits, both of whom were named to the Lake Superior Conference (LSC) all-conference team in 2012.
Walter also announced on Thursday that Tracy Roach will transfer to St. Scholastica from Division II UMD, where she did not play as a freshman. Tracy will join her older sister, Darcy, who will be a senior this upcoming season for the Saints.
Other recruits for the 2013 season are Forest Lake's Micah McGuiness and Andrea Mogren, Saint Peter's Kasandra McCabe, Centennial's Erin Hathaway, and Rendi Johnson from the state of Washington.
St. Scholastica has won four consecutive Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) regular season and postseason championships, finishing the 2012 season with a (32-12) overall record while making a third straight NCAA Division III regional tournament appearance.
