Philadelphia, PA (NNCNOW.com) --- Former Duluth Huskies third baseman Cody Asche made his major league debut on Tuesday and his first major league start on Wednesday with the Philadelphia Phillies.

The 23-year-old played for the Huskies in 2009 and 2010 and has posted .295 batting average in Triple-A Lehigh Valley with 15 home runs.

Asche came into the game on Tuesday as a pinch-hitter before starting at third base on Wednesday. Asche went 0-4 at the plate but impressed the team defensively.

Asche's parents, girlfriend, brother, and his brother's fiance will all in attendance at Citizens Bank Park for his debut.
