Hayward Takes Third, Neff Sixth at WIAA State Meet

Madison, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Hayward girls' golf team finished in third place on Tuesday at the WIAA Division II state championship, with sophomore Brittany Neff taking sixth place individually.

The Hurricanes shot a two-round score of 135-over par as a team, finishing 37 strokes behind the eventual state champion Edgewood.

Neff fired a two-day score of 18-over par, finishing just one stroke ouside the top five and 23 strokes behind the eventual state champion Casey Danielson of Osceola.

The other five members of the Hayward team at the state championship were Aly Tremblay, Emilee McCusker, Ashley Hansen. Kayla Bowen, and Rachel Radcliffe.
