Hermantown, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Grand Rapids found themselves in front of Hermantown for much of the game, but the Hawks scored when they needed to, beating the Thunderhawks 7-6 on Friday night. Jordyn Thomas had a sacrifice fly deep enough to score Macy Francisco in the first inning for Hermantown. Brooke Dahlin added an RBI single in the second. Grand Rapids would answer in the third with two of their runs thanks to great base-running from Sydney Helmbrecht. Hermantown improves to (16-3) on the season while Grand Rapids falls to (8-5).
