Hermantown's Pionk Commits to Play at UMD

Hermantown, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Hermantown junior defenseman Neal Pionk has committed to play his college hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD), he announced Friday night via Twitter.

"Proud to announce my commitment to the University of Minnesota-Duluth," Pionk wrote. "Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way."

Hermantown earned a second place finish in Minnesota's Class A a year ago and is off to a (3-0) start thus far in the 2012-13 season.
