Maple Grove, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Duluth Marshall boys' soccer team found out Saturday its first-round opponent for the MSHSL Class A tournament, that being a team that was involved in a game-ending brawl during the Section 5A championship game.

Prairie Seeds Academy beat Totino-Grace 2-1 in Thursday's section title game, but the result was marred a bit by a bench-clearing fight that was started after the referee's final whistle.

In video shot by Channel 12 Sports, which can be seen here, it can be seen that two players start throwing punches in front of the Totino-Grace bench.

Coaches and players from both teams then crowd the field, but the video does plainly show the goalkeeper from Prairie Seeds Academy punching and kicking people from Totino-Grace.

Channel 12 Sports reports that the Maple Grove Police Department is investigating the incident and also that at least one player needed stiches as a result of the brawl.

Officials from the Minnesota State High School League told the Northland's NewsCenter on Saturday that sanctions and/or suspensions could come as a result of the fight, but those officials were unsure what the timeline of such actions would be.

Prairie Seeds Academy is set to play Duluth Marshall in the MSHSL Class A quarterfinals on October 26, with that game scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Roseville, Minn.
