Grafton, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Northwestern High School graduate Donnie Hissa pitched six scoreless innings on Wednesday night, but he and the Lakeshore Chinooks fell 5-3 to the Madison Mallards in a decisive game three of the Northwoods League South Division Championship Series.

Alex Bacon hit a three-run home run in the top of the ninth inning for Madison, with that accounting for the game-winning runs and sending the Mallards to the Northwoods League Championship Series.

Hissa allowed just five hits in the starting effort, striking out four and walking none. Lakeshore is also coached by former UW-Superior manager Eddy Morgan, who is the winningest coach in Yellowjackets history.

Madison will host game one of the best-of-three championship series, with that to be played Thursday night starting at 7:05 p.m. Game two will then be played Friday in Duluth, as will game three on Saturday if necessary.

Both games in Duluth will be played at Wade Stadium and start at 6:35 p.m.
