Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota Twins left 12 runners on base Monday afternoon, part of a disappointing offensive performance in a 4-2 loss to Detroit on Opening Day 2013 at Target Field in Minneapolis.

Ryan Doumit had the lone run batted in for Minnesota, that coming in the seventh inning to make it a 3-2 ball game. Joe Mauer was the only Twins player with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with a run scored in the losing effort.
