Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Alex Spencer tied the game at 2-2 with less than two minutes to play and Nick Altmann netted the game-winner in overtime as the Duluth East boys' hockey team ousted Elk River-Zimmerman 3-2 in the Section 7AA championship.

The Elks jumped out to a one-goal lead until late in the second period when Bryton Lutzka tied it up at 1-1. Just seconds later, Elk River-Zimmerman reclaimed the lead.

The Greyhounds outshot the Elks 13-1 in the third period. Spencer's power-play goal tied at 2-2 and Altmann sealed the deal in OT.

Duluth East has won six straight section titles and will play at next week's Class AA state tournament. Seeding for the tournament is set to come out on Saturday.
