H'town Native LeBlanc to Make NHL Debut Tonight

Edmonton, Alberta (NNCNOW.com) --- Hermantown, Minn. native and 2013 Hobey Baker Award recipient Drew LeBlanc will make his professional debut tonight with the Chicago Blackhawks, the team announced via Twitter this afternoon.

Chicago will be on the road taking on the Edmonton Oilers, with that game scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. start at Rexall Place.

LeBlanc signed a one-year deal with the Blackhawks on April 12, that after finishing his fifth-year senior season at St. Cloud State University (SCSU). He finished the year leading the nation with 37 assists and also added 13 goals for the Huskies.

The official Twitter account of the Chicago Blackhawks also confirmed this afternoon that LeBlanc would be centering a line with Patrick Sharp and Patrick Kane on his wings.
