Madison, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Six different players scored goals on Friday afternoon for the Hayward-Spooner-Northwestern girls' hockey team, helping the Hurricanes to a 6-2 win over University Co-Op in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) semifinals at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
Nadya Vanvonderen, Aly Tremblay, Meredith Ingbretson, Cheyenne Turnbull, Madelin Spangenberg, and Emma Kieckman all tallied in the winning effort, with Sarah Miley backstopping the victory with 20 saves.
Hayward-Spooner-Northwestern will now play Onalaska for the WIAA championship, with that game set for 12:00 p.m. on March 2 at the Alliant Energy Center.
The game can be seen on live television in the Northland on the My 9 Sports Network.
